How we all felt saturday

another beautiful view
Well our day of rest is almost over and we start another grueling week of hikes ( which I love ) and exercises ( which aren‘t my favorite). I am hoping it will be a much better week and that I really have increased my aerobic capacity.

Today was a great day of adventures. Amy, my buddy, offered to drive and so Emily, Doreen and I left the boot camp for a little R and R. First we went to The Malibu Country Mart Courtyard at Malibu Beach.. The playground and shops are supposed to be a frequent stop for all the stars. Well we didn’t see anyone I knew, but that is difficult since I probably wouldn’t recognize them anyway. We did have fun looking at the shops and having a Starbucks and a diet coke, totally illegal. The diet coke was so good. We ate our sack lunch from the resort and really I think we did very well. After our visit to the Country Mart we decided to go to the J Paul Getty Villas. I beautiful home which houses a museum, statures, magnificent gardens and reflecting pools. Such a joy to get out of the compound and see some of the local scenery and culture.

Our last stop was Target to pick up some of the essentials a gal needs when she is away a full month. It was fun to go and not need to buy any food or goodies.

When we returned I walked around a bit, talked to some of the Biggest Loser Contestants, did a load of laundry and prepared for dinner and meeting the new guests. I met Yania, a gal I have been corresponding with for a couple of months and did my best to help relieve her anxieties. It was a hoot hearing some of us say we are on week 2 of 4. Wow, it is hard to believe I have three more weeks to go.

Ok enough chatter. I must get to bed so I can conquer tomorrow. If I can’t get a connection tonight I will send this in the morning with some pictures. Sometimes the wireless is a little iffy.

  2. So glad to hear you are doing well. Tell all the fb gals good luck next week, and I so wish I was there. Got back from NC this afternoon, and we went to see Bob Dylan tonight at the Civic Center. Music was good; still can't understand many words he says LOL.

Please keep in touch. Good luck this week :-)
