It was another interesting day. First the weather was more like Seattle then Malibu. It didn’t really rain but the mist and fog made for a very damp day. Our hike was Newton Canyon in the Back Bone Mountain area. If we could have seen there would have been a beautiful view, but the fog did not lift until evening. It was still a great hike and I walked with Peter , a doctor who just finished his internship and plans to go into Peds for a specialty. I handsome, and kind young man. They have done a marvelous job of recruiting hiking guides. Then the day continued on with cardio intervals, stretch and lastly Disco Jam. Disco Jam is a hoot and it is taught by John a very flamboyant guy. He dresses up for class so some of the girls dressed in 80’s outfits too. Really funny !! It does seem impossible I’ve been here almost two weeks. Yipes, just two more weeks to go.

I’m tired and plan to hit the sack in a few minutes. Damn, my good friend Amy has a pulled muscle in her outer hip area so she may go home early. I hope it heals fast this weekend so we can continue on our journey together. Here‘s a few pictures……..Ruth
