Reagan Ranch and M.A.S.H. Filming Site

The old sign with milage

Well it was an exciting morning even though I was so tired.. I slept eleven and a half hours last night and I could sleep a few more. So first I had a great breakfast and then it was off for a hike. It was at Malibu Creek State Park which was once the Reagan’s property until he donated it to California. It is a beautiful area and the site of two movie sites. Last week I was at the Planet of the Apes site which I didn’t recognize, but this week we went to the M.A.S.H site. How cool, some volunteers have preserved some items from the film and placed a shed with some memorabilia and pictures. Really a cool site. The pictures show scenes from the movie and you can see the landscape to match.. I also got to hike a bit with Yania a young lady I corresponded with by the internet for a couple of months before I came here. One thing that happened today was a group, three hikers and a new guide took the wrong turn and were lost for while. The tall guy you will see, a guide ran the trails and with the walkie talkies found them.. Oh we all were glad we weren’t in that group. We had already hiked about 6 miles and didn’t want to go any farther.J It is free time now until Monday so I’m veggin till dinner and then we say goodbye to another group of people. It is sad to see some of them leave…..

Sounds like you are doing great! Can't wait to see you next Saturday. I will write again during the week if I get to a computer.
