I’m writing this now because once again the internet is out. This is a bit frustrating, but we will keep on trying. I had a very wonderful day since I got to do a hike way beyond my limits since during the week we hike in groups according to our pace and mine is still not to fast. The hike is called Solstice. It is in the Santa Monica Mountains. The hike takes us on a rather steep incline and it goes on and on along side the edges of two peaks and then down , down, down to the ruins of a house built in this deep canyon. What’s left of the house and the grounds in amazing and the views along the way and at the house are breathe taking. I am so glad I got to do this and would not have wanted to leave here with out doing it, so…..I’m happy. Yea!!! After stretch I had lunch, rested and then took a nap in preparation for our exciting day Sunday Oh, I did get scolded along with a few others since Anna, a sweet gal from Florida offered to go get Skinny Cow Ice Cream foe us since we didn’t eat the 245 calorie cookie they served after dinner. We all were in heaven and we were eating it in front of the front desk and one of the employees gave us a lecture and told us it was bad enough to do it but we didn’t need to do it in the front of the building. LOL She just didn’t get it……Here’s a few pictures
