Hello all, Well it is another day and believe it or not I have survived despite the schedule today. I started out with a core and flexibility class and it almost killed me. The trainer is really tough and she makes sure you don’t wimp out. In fact she came up to me and whispered “I’m watching you Ruth, don’t forget I am watching you”. Well this kept me on my toes. Then we had breakfast and it was sooo good. It was an English muffin with egg, turkey bacon and a pinch of soy cheese. Sad how so little had us all excited. Then it was the hike. The van took us to the Malibu Beach and we walked at least a mile in the sand, and it was deep and then up a trail and back down. Wow, the scenery was beautiful, but the hike was a killer. When we returned we did a water class that was great, kept my heart rate up and then it was off to lunch. It was fair, nothing to write about. After lunch we had a cooking demo, water class, a ball class and to finish off a class called treading. In treading you do five minutes of warm up then five minutes of the fastest you can go, then a five minute recovery, then four minutes and on down to one minute. It is defiantly tough and an interesting way to end the day. No class tonight so I have my clothes in the washer. So that is a summary of day four and I really find it amazing I was able to complete it. Part of the reason a person does so well is all the friends and support around here. I have met so many sweet people and they are all a hoot. I’ll post a few pictures and then I must walk down to see if it is time to put my clothes in the dryer.

  1. Ruth, I am in NC, and this is the first chance I could get on a computer. It sounds like you are doing great. What a challenge you are working on......I love reading your blogs and seeing the pictures. At least this afternoon and tomorrow will be rest days. And, then start over (ugh!, I mean Yea!) LOL. I walked for 1 hr 35 minutes, yesterday, came back and carried my granddaughters on my back (one at a time) for quite a walk to and from the park near their home. Last night my feet were hurting, and my legs were pretty sore. Just a "hint" of what is to come.

Have a wonderful restful Sunday. Just can't wait to join you. Best of luck and best wishes.
